  • Toshiba to sell 3D TV that can be viewed without special eyeglasses

    TOKYO —

Toshiba Corp. said Tuesday it is developing technology for a 3D television that won’t require special glasses.

Company spokeswoman Yuko Sugahara confirmed such technology was in the works. But she declined to comment on a report in the Yomiuri newspaper that the Tokyo-based company plans to start selling the new TVs by the end of the year.

Toshiba’s new TVs will be a world first in offering glasses-free 3D, according to the nationally circulated Yomiuri.

The technology involves transmitting different images at various angles to create an illusion of dimension and depth, and watching the 3D images won’t be tiring on the eyes, it said.

The 3D TVs now on sale, such as those from rivals Panasonic and Sony, require glasses.

Electronics companies have been investing heavily in 3D technology for televisions, betting that people will want a 3D experience at home following the success of blockbuster movies like “Avatar,” which was screened in 3D.

Some gadgets like handheld game machines from Nintendo can deliver 3D images without special glasses, but bigger technological hurdles must be cleared for televisions which are viewed from farther away than portable game machines.

“Many people don’t like to wear glasses to watch TV for a long time, especially people who must wear 3D glasses over regular glasses,” said Sugahara.

  • new type of confidence

so my new affirmation is... "i am awesome, anyways." or "i am awesome, no matter what."

see, my confidence now is unconditional. it does not matter if i succeed or fail. i am always awesome.

i have been using this for about a week now.

and, it does provide some emotional cushion so that things don't get to me as easy as before.

also, i notice today a shift in a way i look at other people because of this.

usually if i see a really hot girl, i put her on a pedastal. it feels as though she is on a higher plane, unreachable.

but, today for some reason, my reaction was... she is awesome just like me.

i actually put a hot girl on the same plane as myself. i didn't put her down or put her up.

she was just awesome just like me.

  • how i fixed my lower back pain

about 6 months ago, i started to get massive lower back pain. i thought it was from doing p90x's ab ripper x after drinking a beer, whatever the origin, the pain was horrific. it probably topped the list of most  painful and regretful things in my life.

i had fixed my standing and walking posture about 2-3 years ago, but my sitting posture in front of the monitor and while driving was still horrible. i noticed this about a week ago.

i started to sit properly and lo & behold the lower back pain has disappeared.

so if you are suffering from lower back pain and have tried everything... try observing your sitting posture and correcting it. it is worth a try.

some other positive effects of good sitting posture:

i am starting to notice that having good posture while eating allows the food to go down more smoothly.
my voice comes out more smoothly because everything is aligned properly.
i feel more confident while driving because i am not slouching. i feel bigger than other drivers as opposed to smaller.

    give it a try.

  • lower tone of voice

lately i feel like less of a wimp bc i talk with a lower tone. it's purely psychological but for some reason it boosts my self esteem.

  • mental confidence

lately my affirmation of choice is "i will eventually figure it out"
when i don't understand something or if i'm not good at something and i just leave it at that, my confidence is left lowered.
but when i use this affirmation it seems to minimize the damage and actually lifts my confidence in my ability to grow.
the hope and confidence that comes along with it creates an expansive momentum which feels really healthy.
whatever walls or limitations i had mentally can be broken down pretty easily now with this.
instead of a dead stop, now there is potential, life and hope.

  • the water cure diet

i'm trying something new called the water cure and it's actually working.

    1. upon waking 2 glasses of water with a pinch of salt.  (2)
    2. 1 glass of water 30 mins before and after breakfast. (2)
    3. 1 glass of water 30 mins before and after lunch. (2)
    4. 1 glass of water 30 mins before and after dinner. (2)

8 glasses of water w. a pinch of salt. the salt is supposedly for absorbtion.

i have been drinking so much water and feeling so full from it... i don't even want to eat the extra tempting food anymore.
my weight remains the same, but i think it's mostly from all the extra liquids. but, my goal isn't weight loss, it's preventing overeating that causes my canker sores. so, thus far.. this water cure is working.

  • solution to vonage dial tone background noise on wireless phone!!!!

problem: wireless phone would have background noise like pops and cracking on dial tone when hooked up to the vonage adapter. the background noise should have a voltage feel to it.

solution: the vonage tel line out should be filtered through a power surge protector, then connected to wireless phone.

step 1: pull out the power on the wireless phone.

step 2: connect vonage tel line out to surge protector.

step 3: connect surge protector tel line out to wireless phone.

step 4: connect power to wireless phone.

the background noise should be gone.
