piyo class?
i took this class today after lifting.. called piyo. half pilates, half yoga. first time i took a class like that.
kinda awkward bc there was like 50 women, one gay guy and me.. wtf did i get myself into i thought.
the instructor was hispanic and kinda hot. but, the stuff was very good for flexibility and strength.
i would take it every week if the guy to girl ratio wasn’t so bad.
maybe i’ll just do it like once a month so that i don’t bother them too much.
i liked the ab work out the best and maybe the handstand position. maybe what i didn’t like is some
of the moves were too smooth and feminine. there was some stuff i just skipped over refusing to do.
yea i was like this guy in the pic in the very back of the class. lol
i had to fight checking out girls *sses and reminded myself it was for
training not that type of thing.

lol. i tried piyo for the first time too yesterday (except at irvine). it was really energetic and not as “boring” or slow as yoga. yeah, there are only a few guys in the class. how can 50 people fit in that lil group-x room??? it looks so dinky.
@JennY71887 - it was not boring at all, the room was pretty packed, but the class right before it seemed even more packed. do u think girls kinda want to just do their piyo in the comfort of just all women? i was thinking maybe i was intruding on them.
@mooks_dayoo - haha i have no idea. usually the guys I see are with another girl so it doesn’t seem as awkward. i think the only way to make it not seem awkward is to sit in the front so you don’t give any suggestion that you’re checking them out (even though you have mirrors). lol.
@JennY71887 - i had shorts on with boxers underneath, so i sorta felt violated via the mirrors. i had to limit my movement to protect my privacy too!
I’m sure they don’t mind having you there… most yoga people are glad to have men participate! check with the instructor if you have any doubts.
I doubt the women minded you there, as long as you weren’t ogling or being creepy.
Women like a man who is confident enough to do stuff like that.
(and “piyo” reminds me of that cute duck character from Japan lol)
@Paperwhite_Blue - maybe the normal thing is that men don’t want to do that class, and naturally the women are the large majority there. i think i’ll limit it to once a month.
@shoujo - i was fighting myself from ogling, it’s kind of hard not to look sometimes because it’s right in your face, there is no way to look away in some positions.
