  pros:

  1. environment where people with similar life experiences can support each other recover.
  2. good side income for these celebrities who are having a hard time earning money.
  3. a chance for these past-tense celebrities to make it back on to media.

  cons:

  1. being under the camera 24/7 cannot be a healthy environment for recovering addict. too much pressure and stress!
  2. although getting ratings is important, forcing two people with negative past history like heidi fleiss and tom sizemore to live together is severely detrimental for their progress.

  so from a doctor's standpoint, is it ethical to play with these addict celebrities lives for entertainment? maybe dr. drew has considered all these factors and maybe feels the educational aspect of the show will outweigh the cons.

  with this said, as a viewer, it is really fun to watch.
