i talked to an old school friend at church. and, she gave me some good insight into how to mange some of my thinking. she didn't directly do this, but i picked up on it when she belittled my situation. basically, i told her about this one dude at work who constantly wins over me with his alpha energy. it pisses me off so much sometimes i think about strategies to win. it's an very all-consuming competition i have with this guy. anyways, i told her about this.. and her reaction was.... "daniel m... you are battling this guy and getting all stressed out and you work for MINIMUM WAGE at this place. let me tell you.. we need to create some BIGGER problems for you." LOL she is great. this got me thinking... and i started to realize that most petty worries can be cleared out pretty quickly if you just repeat to yourself.. "i have bigger things to think about." all of a sudden, that thing which was all consuming becomes petty and small. and your mind's cache is cleared out and usable again for different thoughts. it's great. also, she said to me, "you just have to end cycle on this guy and focus on making 4 million dollars a week, i know you can do it.." she really thinks big and she kinda nudged me in the right direction. she's australian, prolly like 6 feet and maybe in her late 60s, maybe 70s. judging by her lightspiritedness tho, you would think she was in her 20s.

Good advice!
When I worry about things, I think to myself, "Is this going to matter a day from now? A week? A month? A year?" Usually the answer is no.
@CareyGLY - that is neat.. that's putting time on your side.
