damnit, everyone has mobile internet, iphone or some other comparable cool device. checking email, gps, ability to find desired store in local area are very valuable tools. also, being able to check prices at amazon.com at target would be really cool. it's about 30-40/mo right? if i just cancelled my home 10M internet i could get it without spending any more cash than i do now.
should i get an iphone? i dont like the touchscreen typing, it looks very crowded.
maybe..... one of those phones that have mobile internet, but have a qwerty keypad on there.
but, the screen is so damn small, i don' think i would be able to satisfy my computer needs just through a fricken-tiny-phone.
maybe..... a net book. maybe it will be large enough screen to suffice.
i wonder if i can hook up my mobile internet to my pc and surf the web through my regular keyboard and monitor.
hmm... also, i wonder how fast the mobile internet speed is? is it like 1-3megs?
too many questions, still undecided.
more questions.....
does netbook have gps?
does it take a long time to bootup netbooks?
maybe there is a mac netbook with gps.

Why don't you start with an iPod Touch? They just came down in price, and if you can find an unlocked Wi-Fi connection, that won't cost a think. You'll be surprised how easy it is to get used to and you can use it for everything! They are incredible: http://technology.todaysbigthing.com/2009/09/17
@CareyGLY - thanks for the suggestion dude
why waste money and get one.....then end up getting the other if you like it? if youre gonna go for it, just get the real thing, whats your phone service btw? typing on an iphone is kind of strange at first but you get used to it within a week and it becomes really easy and fast.
@YOUNGAZNTIGER - i use at&t .. i'm still researching to see what my options are
3G is about 2megs down and 348kb for moving vehicles.
ITU has not provided a clear definition of the data rate users can
expect from 3G equipment or providers. Thus users sold 3G service may
not be able to point to a standard and say that the rates it specifies
are not being met. While stating in commentary that "it is expected
that IMT-2000 will provide higher transmission rates: a minimum data
rate of 2 Mbit/s for stationary or walking users, and 348 kbit/s in a
moving vehicle,"
[14]
the ITU does not actually clearly specify minimum or average rates or
what modes of the interfaces qualify as 3G, so various rates are sold
as 3G intended to meet customers expectations of broadband data.
