Skype knocks off MSN Messenger
Another interesting story coming out of the exo.repository is Skype’s ascension to the instant messaging client throne. After chipping away at Microsoft’s lead for weeks, Skype finally surpassed the company’s MSN Messenger as the most widely deployed IM/VoIP client software for Windows PCs. http://www.infoworld.com/d/applications/firefox-use-reaches-critical-mass-skype-reigns-in-im-049

Yes, that’s because Skype started as VoIP that had a IM sub-function. MSN started with just IM and added “Voice” calling. Not a big surprise, not a fair comparison. Skype trying to increase media exposure probably so they can win their court date copyright suit with Ebay.

I wonder how they compare to Yahoo Messenger?
@CareyGLY - they are all about the same, is my guess.
