  • is it me or are lcd monitors becoming really affordable? i went into best buy yesterday just to peek (bc i have no money to spend) and was surprised to see dell/hp 23" WIDESCREEN monitors for $199-299.  wtf? i thought these sized monitors were going for $1000 a few years ago. LOL maybe it's the combination of technological advances and the down economy that is creating these low prices. i would get one if i had the money. damnit. also, while at best buy i noticed that 2 girls smiled at me. (i wonder if it's the body spray. i get smiles a lot lately. didn't really happen before, it has to be the bodyspray.)

    i noticed a shift in attitude within myself yesterday. usually, when my mom says something really stupid, i just think to myself... "OMG THAT IS SO STUPID, I WILL NOT EVEN RESPOND." and i just stay quiet and it's just a really uncomfortable silence for a few seconds. and, because of this, i usually feel a sense of guilt, so at the end of this exchange i am the loser. but yesterday, i was really open minded about it and just replied simply to the stupid remarks honestly and truthfully. i did not criticize her remarks or analyze it and explain to her why the remark was stupid. i just replied to the questions with a straightforward common sense, succinct answer. i think the answers were so obvious that she realized herself that they were really stupid questions by herself. i didn't feel guilty because i didn't leave her hanging and it also clearly showed her that she was asking too many obvious questions that she already knew the answers to. (hmm i wonder if it's the iodide salt and kelp i tried yesterday.)
