  • a hispanic male customer that seemed construction worker-esque, put his mouth 2 inches from my face and said, "don't act as though you never seen a boy with long hair." i really bothered him when i called his son, a daughter by accident. the boy really looked like a girl, i coulnd't help it. i was actually admiring the little kid's beauty before i asked his father to ask him to sit down, because he was standing in his cart. man, that dude was really confrontational. that mini standoff set the mood for my whole work session. lesson learned, when asking a customer to have the child sit down down from now on, i'm not referring to them as her or him, daughter or son, just child.

  • Wow, I'm sorry that happened.  It's always an awkward situation, but the father made it much worse for you and the kid.  How ironic that you really admired the kid's beauty.  I guess the lesson learned as a cashier is a good one.  Still sucks though.
