so i've been struggling the past week with overeating. i do well in the morning and at lunch.. then, at dinner i eat until i am full. this is really bad. my digestive system can't handle any stress AT ALL. and, i thought about it and the reason why i am falling back is because i am not physically measuring 1 cup of food like before. a few weeks ago i started eating salads and i thought to myself, hey! it's healthy foods, i don't have to measure it! eat all i want! then, i stopped measureing 1 cup of food per sitting.. and that good habit was basically what was keeping my intake volume perfect. i guess actually seeing how much food 1 cup really is really important. you will be surprised how much food 1 cup really is. and, when you visually realize how much food it is, mentally it becomes acceptable that you ate enough. it's a really weird phenomenon. in contrast, when you don't measure your food, you just keep eating and eating. you don't know how much you ate, you just keep eating until you feel satisfied.
so moral of the story is... measure my food, 1 cup before i eat it. this leads to perfect volume intake, which means perfect digestive health, which means vitality, and very high sense of well being.
i think counting calories becomes really tedious, most people who are lazy won't count calories. and, most of the people who are fat are really lazy. so, i recommend the diet industry to stop counting calories and just measure cups of food instead. there is a optimal amount of food per sitting for each individual. just find that and eat it. for me.. it's 1 cup of food. what you eat doesn't even matter that much, just HOW MUCH.

In
terms of business management, if you don't count it, or keep track of
it, you can't make improvements. And that's what the diet industry
wants us to do with calories. I agree, I hate counting calories and
that's probably 1 of my major problems to gaining weight. Weight
Watchers changes the counting of calories to a point system. Each food
is given a point count depending on the nutrients it gives you, or how
bad it is for you. Pretty cool, but sometimes you just don't know what
the points is on something. At which time they'll say "well, you
probably shouldn't be eating it anyways, it's probably really really
refined."
If people can't count calories or points, the easier
method is tracking weight. But weight fluctuates daily. The general
rule is to either weigh daily and average the last 3-4 days (too much
math for some people), or weight weekly and average the last 2.
However, weight does not completely correlate with heath. And body
composition of fat and muscle can sway weight. I still haven't come
across a good system yet.
Hey, when you're measuring Salad in a cup, do you compress the leafy stuff? LOL!

@ThurzNite - it's
just one cup. no matter what. you can compress the leafies yep. no
counting calories, no point system, just one cup. you can easily
improve the quality of this method by just eating things you know are
good for you, in general, but just one cup. seriously, most people
don't have the time or the brain power for anything more than this.
it's practical and it works! last thing left tho, is the individual's
self-discipline to remember and follow though on 1 cup per sitting. i'm
5'9 143 pounds and 1 cups keeps me at this weight. if i wanted to
increase weight to 150-54, i would probably eat 2 cups per sitting.
it's crazy you can actually control your weight down to a couple of
pounds. tracking weight is helpful, it is very motivating, but in the
end, it comes down to HOW MUCH you eat! -

the way, about 2 months ago, i set a pull up record. i did 33
consecutive pull ups in a row! but, i have to say, i had an energy
drink before hand, so i think about 10 extra pull ups came from that !
