i'm starting a new game for myself. counting good things. i count up to 5 good things that make me happy. and then i start over from one. i'm gonna train myself to become a professional counter of good things. eventually i will learn to have my attention on the good things in life.
hey, today, my ?arget manager told me that i was the fastest cashier last week with an average of 95% i did it. i'm officially the fastest cashier at ?arget.

it was raining hard today, all day long. but, i wasn't gonna let this shit ruin my day off. so i lined up my usual errands and plugged away at them. oddly all my errands were on main st.! first wamu deposited my checks. then, returned some books to alhambra library and used the computer there for a bit. since they changed locations, i can tell the users at alhambra library are a little different. more upperscale, cuter girls. it's a good thing. anyways, next i went to target, also on main st. to buy some cranberry juice w/ my coupons. i max'd out the coupon power and got one oceanspray 64 ouncer for guess!.... no, not 1.00, not .50 cents, not even 25 cents, NINE CENTS! LOL all thanks to that ?arget customer who taught me the coupon ropes. as i walked into ?arget i noticed that there was a party at food avenue, the section where they sell hot foods. usually all the seats are empty but today it was packed. i thought to myself, who da fuck has a party at ?arget, some odd shit! then, i looked closely it was a crowd of physically challenged kids. i took back my initial thought, and approved of the situation. it left a slight impression in my mind. so, i finished the ?arget thing, went over to mcdonalds to pick up a mcdouble for $1. got home stuffed it with lettuce and tomatoes and chilled with chi-chan (my pet toy poodle for a while.) when chi fell asleep, i decided to start reading the book i borrowed at the library. called... "how high can you bounce? turn your setbacks into comebacks" by roger crawford. it seems liked a really optimistic book that preaches that resilience can be taught and anyone can learn to bounce back from anything. what was surprising tho... is that the author is physically challenged. just like the kids having the party at ?arget. there i was sorta, looking down upon them for their activity, and now i have this author who is physically challenged, helping me to figure out my life. what an odd situation. you really don't know who or what will be there to help and support you in the time of need. can't leave any type of person unrespected.
To maintain resilience, label positive situations with lavish generalities that apply to all areas of you life, but be very specific and limiting when you talk to yourself about negative events.
basically.. let your optimism and positive thinking spread like wildfires, but isolate and distinguish negative thoughts before they grow too huge.
Example:
Negative fact: I broke it.
Unresilient language: I'm so clumsy.
Resilient Language: Today I've been dropping things. (isolated to just today)Example:
Positive fact: My boss liked my report.
Unresilient conclusion: He must have been in a good mood this time.
Resilient conclusion: I do my job well. (lavishly generalize into positive personal attribute) -
hey, so i realized i play ffs way too much. i have 3B in assets now and growing. i enjoy collecting these beauties, but still that's a lot of time with very little accomplished. so, i decided to use ffs as an educational tool. one cool thing about ffs is that it is global. so, whenever i find someone interesting, i'm gonna learn about the place they are from. i added a flag counter to my ffs site, so i know where the traffic is coming from, and when they are nice enough, they leave a comment saying where they came from. so, cool.
