i don’t really follow sports too much, but my father does.
he is a super baseball fan.
so, today’s news will keep him in a good mood probably for the
    rest of the year. hellzyea.
hiroki kuroda, dodger’s pitcher shopped at my dad’s store today.
my mom called and said she got an autograph.
she said his kids were also there, and she had seen them come in
with their mother before but had no idea it was kuroda’s wife.

my dad has a japanese grocery store in west la on sawtelle.
he is a hella hard working man.
he’s had the store for 30+years.
and he hasn’t missed one day yet.
even if he is sick, he will work.
he works from 6:30am to 10:30pm, 6 days a week.
    and, he’s 69.

don’t ask me how he does it.
    i can only guess…

after japan lost world war 2, they were hella hungry.
post world war 2 japanese people had a fire within them
and, wanted to catch up to the united states.
i think my dad has part of that spirit.
the same drive that created the likes of toyota, honda, sony
    that we see today.

    really hard working, those people.
