  • Joel Osteen

Bought a book called, Become a Better You, by Joel Osteen.

I've seen him doing Christian sermons on television.

He has a nice, bright, light aura about him.

I like him and want to read about his ideas.

It feels like Jesus is trying to contact me, so I'm keeping my mind open and see what happens.

  • baseline

i'm gonna stop drinking alcohol for a month.

i want to see where baseline is.

i need to see where my personality, health, mood stands w/o any drug interference.

this will be the first time i will be totally clean since hitting sub 147 pounds, working a regular job, & running and working out everyday.

  • ink stain

ink stains on khakis come out if you put rubbing alcohol on it.

it'll take many attempts especially if the stain is set, but they do come out.

  • comedy channel

i'm switching my bootup cable channel to the comedy channel instead of mtv.

maybe my sense of humor will get enhanced if i keep watching people who are funny.

  • my neighbor is crazy

i was half naked chilling in my bedroom yesterday.

i hear the knocking on my backdoor.

i was preparing to get up and go see who it was.

then, i hear this loud shreaky voice yelling something from my living room.

the guy opened the backdoor, came into the house and yelling in the middle of the house.

    who does this?

    really?

it turned out he wanted to give our family a gift from his father.

he was our next door neighbor - 6 feet 3 inches, really tall guy.

i appreciate him bring us the gift, but i think it's rude for someone to enter a person's house w/o permission.

that was the very first time i met the guy too.

    what a weirdo.

what if my mom was the only one home and she wasn't dressed or something.

  • vietnamese take-out

i'm gonna cut my in-and-out visits by half and replace it with vietnamese fast food.

bale on atlantic & valley sells large to-go dishes for $3.50-$4.00.

the portions are so large i can split it up into 3 meals.

breakfast, lunch, dinner, a whole day's worth of eating for $4.00.

if i went to in-and-out and got my burger & fries, it would cost me $3.00 for one sitting.

vietnamese dishes have volumes of vegetables & rice included so it covers many food groups as well.

plus, this place is so close to my house, saves much gas too.

  • professional listener

i want to become a professional listener.

i am going to keep adding to this list until it is perfected.

all these things will get added from trial and error from real life experience.

    1. don't interrupt

    2. listen until the person has finished saying whatever they have to say

    3. really listen attentively, with the intent to listen

    4. listen not only to words, but person's emotions and underlying message
