  • red wine & nye party.

i'm starting to love red wine. yesterday i bought 3 bottles. cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and zinfandel. don't ask me what the difference is, i don't know either. i'm just exploring the world of red wines right now. :) i sip about 3 shots a night, equivalent to 1 glass (the FDA recommended dosage to keep me healthy) this habit is gonna end soon though because at the rate of 1 glass a night, the bottle only lasts about 5 days. and... the cheapest bottles are $3.99 each. i think i will be forced to sip 1 shot a night from starting 2007. it's ok though, 1 shot is plenty, i can tell it relaxes me even at that low dosage. i think this daily intake of wine is changing my personality a little. i feel so much more relaxed and comfortable. my body is hella relaxed. especially while drinking, i feel like my body is floating in a warm sea of gentleness. i wish i could have started this habit earlier. but on my 16th birthday, my japanese school friends came over to my house and we drank hella vodka. it was my very first time trying alcohol and i drank 10 shots of vodka and was drinking whiskey out of the bottle. that night i slept next to the bathroom toilet. lol since then, i had a huge aversion to alcohol. maybe it was a blessing in disguise. 14 years later, i am finding myself enjoying the health benefits of red wine in a responsible, sensible manner, FDA style. :) warm and fuzzy side effects included.

i had work everyday this whole week. i got work tomorrow too. it really sucked because everyone is off on break and wanting to chill w/ me, but i had work everyday till 8pm. i can't wait for tomorrow though, after work i am going to a trance/rave new years eve party. i was going to go to george's house party, but some friends bought me$100 tickets to this party as a xmas present. i am hoping i can still make it to george's party before or after this rave party. i've been preparing by trying to dance to trance music but always, my movements go back to hip hop style. how da heck do they dance to this type of music? alex told me it's basically just jumping up and down and making it look cool. i'm not used to it, maybe tomorrow ill watch some pros and just copy what they are doing. here's information on the event ill be at tomorrow night.

  • MERRY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    MERRY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • dude.

I was doing a little stretching before going to work. My body feels much more flexible and soft. Hmm. A really relaxed sensation. I tried doing some dance moves and they are crisper and have a different dimension to the movements. I think it might be the vegetables & fruits... BUT I have a feeling the 2 shots of wine per night is having a larger effect. I read that red wine is good for hypertension, the heart, prevents blood clots and reduces blood vessel damage. I think this stuff is loosening me up, circulation is better, whatever it is... I LIKE IT.

dude, L.O.A... I'm attracting healthy habits in my life, BIGTIME!!!

    Ending 2006 strongly,
    Mukai.

  • Portion Control - Revised.

Ok, I think my "2 rice bowl method" entry was a little hard to comprehend, so let me clarify some things.Yesterday I measured each bowl and it turns out each is equivalent to 1 cup. So, basically what I did was.. measured how much I was eating per sitting, when I was 185 pounds. I ate roughly 4-5 bowls (4-5 cups) worth of food per sitting. (this includes rice, main dish, vegetables, everything)From there, I dropped my intake to 3 bowls (3 cups) per sitting for a month. Then, the next month I dropped it to 2 cups of food. That is all I eat now, 2 cups of food per sitting. It's weird, now, when I measure 2 cups of food and eat it, it feels like so much food, it feels like plenty. But when I don't measure the food and just keep eating freely, it is never enough. No matter how much I eat, I want more. Strange how that works for me. I've been following through with my quality control of food too. I include vegetables and fruits in every meal.Cabbage, Spinach, Broccoli, Tomato, Moyashi Bean Sprouts, Shiitake Mushrooms, Onions, Garlic, Nappa, Avocado, just about everything you can think of, I have in my fridge. (Perks of having parents w/ a Japanese Grocery Store.)1 cup meats, 1 cup of vegetables, nuts, fruits etc... Grand total, 2 cups of food. It's really not that bad, it's eating everything that I used to, except half of it is now vegetables. It's very cool, you can cut up vegetables and throw it into just about anything and it tastes good. So far, I've thrown vegetables and nuts into canned soups, left over chinese, left over anything, chicken or steak plates, you can include thinly sliced vegetables anywhere! I try to just use pepper and skip the salt. But most of the time the seasoning has been provided by whoever cooked the leftover meal that I am simply adding the veggies to. I borrowed a book called, Stealth Health, at the Santa Monica Public Library. It has all sorts of ideas on how to stealthily include veggies in meals and maximize their effects. A good book. I can't say for sure if I feel the positive effects of eating veggies, but I noticed my skin looks tighter past few days. Maybe it's working, my 8 pack looks firm, and muscles look more defined. We'll see, I'll keep this food regimen standard, as far as I can take it. I'll update y'all on what changes I see. Oh, 2 things I never tried but now include in all my meals, "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" & grinded Flaxseed. Oh yea, Walnuts too. Oh! and I drink atleast 2 shots of red wine each day now. I should have started this way long ago, it's good for my health and hella feels good & relaxing.Ok, time to head out to WLA. It's the weekend before Xmas so it should be quite busy today. Chi-chan, let's go!

    Have a GREAT Xmas, Y'all~! :) ))))))))

  • 2 Rice Bowl Technique, Portion Control +PLUS+ QUALITY CONTROL

It's been about 2 years now since I started the 2 Rice Bowl Technique. I am @ a steady 150 pounds @ 5ft.10inches. I am somewhat satisfied with the results, but now I need to step it up to the next level. I will be controlling the quality of the food I intake. Wish me luck!

    Broccoli

    "In
1992, a study conduced at Johns Hopkins found that broccoli consumption
prevented the development of tumors by 60% and it reduced the size of
tumors that did develop by 75%.

Clearly, broccoli, like Stacy's mom, has got it going on.

    Broccoli
contains more polyphenols than any other common vegetable. It also
contains large amounts of indoles, which are potent estrogen blockers.

    Other
super powers possessed by broccoli include an ability to boost the
immune system, build bones, fight birth defects, and to ward of
    degenerative eye diseases.

Ways to eat them: You might
want to consider buying broccoli sprouts when they're available as
they're 10 to 100 times more powerful than mature broccoli spears.

    To
eat them, use them in stir-fry dishes or puree them and mix them in
soup. Of course, there's always my way, which is to steam them and
serve drowned in olive oil and blanketed with red chili flakes.

How much to eat: 1/2 to 1 cup daily"   http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=867137

  • The Hidden In-N-Out Burger (aka In and Out Burger) - The Most Accurate Secret Menu

    In-N-Out Burger has a
secret unpublished menu for insiders who are In-The-Know. Next time
    you're at In-N-Out (i.e. tomorrow . . . or maybe tonight), order a bag
    of these off-the-menu specials:

    "3-by-3" = three meat patties
    and three slices of cheese.

    "4-by-4" = four meat patties
    and four slices of cheese.

    "2-by-4" = two meat patties
    and four slices of cheese.

*Note: You can get a burger
with as many meat patties or cheese slices as you want. Just tell the In-N-Out Burger cashier
how many meat patties and how much cheese you want and that is what you'll
get! For instance, if you want 6 pieces of meat and 10 pieces of cheese tell
    them you want a "6-by-10."

    "Double Meat" = like
    a Double Double without cheese.

    "3 by Meat" = three
    meat patties and no cheese.

    "Animal Style" = the meat
is cooked and fried with mustard and then pickles are added, extra spread
    and grilled onions are added.

    "Animal
    Style Fries"
= fries with cheese, spread, grilled onions and pickles (if you ask for them).

    "Protein Style" = for
all you low-carbohydrate dieters, this is a burger with no bun (wrapped in lettuce).

    "Flying Dutchman" = two meat
patties, two slices of melted cheese and nothing else -
    not even a bun!

    Fries "Well-Done" = extra
crispy fries . . . even better than the regular!

Fries "Light" = opposite of fries well-done, more raw than most people like 'em

    "Grilled Cheese" = no meat,
just melted cheese, tomato, lettuce and spread on a bun.

    "Veggie Burger" = burger
without the patty or cheese. Sometimes we call this the "Wish Burger."

    "Neapolitan" Shake = strawberry,
    vanilla and chocolate blended together.

The friendly employees of In-N-Out Burger
will take your special order without question, if you use the right
terminology. The printed receipt will have your special request typed
on it just as we said it.

    Try it!

  • listening to an e-audiobook

Its' title is Shut Up, Stop Whining & Get A Life. LOL

[edit] dude, this is the best e-audiobook yet, even better than THE DONALD's.
The author of this book has to be ex-yakuza.

[edit] this e-audiobook sucked!!! this guy bashes his audience too much, you come out of it feeling crappy. thought it was a good idea at first, maybe 10 minutes of it is good for motivation, but hours of it becomes a bit annoying.

  • Google's Customizable Homepage.

I am falling in love with this thing. It is so easy to customize and it has all the features I needed!

I am a LIST freak. I have LISTS of, to-do's, goals, affirmations,
experimental affirmations, what friends have done for me, places i'd
like to visit, things that made me feel good... the LISTS go on and on.
I actually have a notepad.txt that loads up at windows start-up just so
that I can have quick access and view of my most important lists.
Updating of the lists gets really hectic and opening each list each
time I need to access them was becoming a chore.
But now I have Google's customizable homepage! UNLIMITED LISTS right on
one page! Easy to edit, easy to save, simple view! HELLZ YAYUH! The
google calendar is not bad either, I might switch over from Yahoo
Japan's Calendar. So many features I can add to the homepage,, I've
added Gmail box viewer there as well. Something about having all my
most important PC needs placed on one page, really really ROCKS.

You don't understand how much this will simplify my PC life, I am sooo happy! haha

  • a Good day.

7:30-12:30 - work WLA, Sawtelle Blvd.
12:30-2:30 - parked car at Santa Monica mall, stroll around 3rd St, Ocean Blvd, Santa Monica Pier, rings
2:30-3:30 - Santa Monica College, checked to see if they offered Real Estate Courses. They did not. Walked around campus. They have a nice library!
3:30-4:00 - Smart & Final on Pico. Bought Compact Florescent Bulb. 100W Soft White. Lasts 5 Years! 8000 Hours! Saves $59.00 in energy costs during lifetime. I need to get 10 more for the house and for the store.
4:00-5:00 - Karaoke on Sawtelle. $3/hour, non happy hours! I went by myself. Sung 5 songs. Japanese & English. Spent most of the time looking for the songs. This karaoke shop is not that great, but it's good if you are just practicing. You can hear the people singing in the other room and the leather seats are peeling. Not a good date spot. imo.
    5:00-7:00 - back to work.
7:00-8:00 - Little Tokyo, 1st St. Borrowed Yakuza Film. $2.00/1 week, what a deal! I love this yakuza movie. It's called, "Don E No Michi" The road to becoming Don.dondvd_01_up2 It's the best yakuza film ever imo. Series runs over 30 episodes. Once I get cash together, I want to buy the DVD set.

OMG, it feels so good to have all my physical ailments finally go away. I'm not 100% yet, but feel sooo much better. I used to spend my Thursdays like this every week, exploring WLA. But the last few weeks, I stayed in the back of the store napping. Health is sooooo important. The karaoke shop, SMC & the Smart & Final were places I never been before. I love exploring places I never been before. It's a new hobby I acquired in 2006.

Predominannt Affirmations for the day: "I never hold grudges against anyone for any reason." "God, please help xxxx do well on her finals." "Doudemoii Koto Wa Doudemoii'n jai kora." (don't sweat the small stuff)

  • wow Ebay rocks.

I bought a DVD for $32.94 including shipping. I ripped off the packaging, watched it and decided I didn't want it. I put it up on ebay for sale at $18.00 minimum bid. IT IS A USED DVD!!! But someone bid $31.00 for it. LOL Ebay rocks. Total in my paypal account is $26.43 USD, after shipping costs and ebay seller fees. All labeling and postage was paid thru paypal from my computer. All I have to do now is leave the package on my porch for the delivery man to pick up. So easy & fun, I should sell more things at ebay.
