  • Online Traffic School: Chapter, Road Rage.

I'm still not finished with online traffic school! Haven't felt this crampy, MUST STUDY feeling since collge. I'm so glad I'm not in school anymore.

Last time I road raged, I gave the finger to a person who was making an illegal merge into my lane. After holding it for atleast 5 seconds, I checked the mirror and saw an old lady in her 70s or 80s. I felt bad. The moral of the story: always check before fully committing to unleashing your road rage on a stranger. Just kidding.. below you'll find superior advice I cut and pasted from my online traffic school.

How not to trigger road rage in people:

    1) Avoid direct eye contact. Glaring, head
shaking and scowling may incite others to violence.

    2) Relinquish the road. Get out of the angry
driver’s way. Do not engage the driver in competition or attempt to outrun him
    or her.

    3) Apologize. If you make a driving error,
show remorse by mouthing the words, “I’m sorry” or slapping yourself on the
    head.

    4) Be 100% behind the wheel. Keep your full
attention on driving to reduce the likelihood of earning other drivers’ ire.

    5) Take evasive action. If someone’s
aggression escalates to rage, drive at a safe rate of speed to a nearby police
station, fire station, or populated area.

I'm gonna try number 3 one of these days..."slapping yourself on the head" to gesture apology... I want to see the other person's reaction. I don't think I've seen anyone do this before. If someone did that, I would probably laugh pretty hard.

  • slap yourself on the head??? hahahaha....that's hilarious!

  • puhahahahaha, i wanna see you slap yourself on the head....

but seriously, i can't stop my cutting in line ways when i'm driving. so i cut, and then, i throw up the peace sign. and seriously, it takes people by surprise because i look in the mirror and they always back off at least a full car's length, you know? PEACE! ;)

  • useful stuff, traffic school

  • #3 sounds like something Paris Hilton would do. Recently I've started signing to bikers. Sorta a biker's code of conduct is to sign to fellow bikers.

  • hi, actually i'm learning driving now... :) i think my school is draining me of my $$ with lessons, such a pain. But it's quite interesting. the other time my instructor made m race with a mazda (i'm driving a honda) and ...once on a slope almost rolled backwards into a jaguar...yeah....driving is quite interesting...
