Ballys Total Fitness.
I started working out again after 3-4 years. The members at Bally's at Rosemead are mostly hispanics and asians. I didn't see any middle easterns or caucasians. Worked my chest and arms. I'm gonna go back today and work my tricep/back/legs. I hope I can keep it up, I'm gonna try to go everyday.

Lauren from Laguna Beach.

Ah-man I missed it. I was taking a walk at 4th St. Promenade this Saturday and they were setting up some kind of concert in front of the American Eagle. I asked the guard there what it was and turns out All American Rejects were going to perform there at 7pm. I heard of the band before but I didn't know them enough to want to return at 7pm, it was around 3pm then. But today I found out Lauren from Laguna Beach hosted it. Shoot! That girl is so cute, I should have gone back to see the concert. Fack! -
Newport Beach.
I decided to drive down to Newport Beach today. I visited "The Wedge." There was

a dozen bodyboarders out there challenging that huge crazy wave. Only about 2 of them knew what they were doing and stole all the waves and made it look easy. But I hear people get injured pretty badly out there because sometime the waves there get extremely huge! Today seemed like 6-12 footers. It's so nice down at Newport Beach, Laguna, Irvine, OC area, in general. The scenery is better, the air seems cleaner and the people there seem healthier. Once I win the lottery I'm gonna move down there or maybe up near Malibu. No pics today
I brought my camera along with me, but I was only able to take 1 picture of a wave crashing and the batteries ran out. I sware I recharged the thing. Someone please invent the endless charge-free battery already! -
Santa Monica Public Library.
Books I borrowed today!
1. How to talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere. By Larry King.
2. The Seven Secrets. By John Hagee.
3. The Charisma Quotient, What it is, How to get it, How to Use it. By Ronald E. Riggio.
I really have a hard time communicating in general, so I'm reading up on material that will help liven up my personality and get my communication skills roll'n.
Started reading the first book by Larry King. I like it already. He
makes it really easy to follow along by keeping everything real simple.
He starts with stressing the importance of honesty, the right attitude,
having an interest in other person and openness about yourself.
All
these things I know I should work on. I am hoping some of Larry King's
talk skills rub off on me! -
Paul Newman's Ranch Dressing.
I munch on McDonald's $1 side salad for breakfast and always get the ranch dressing! The ranch dressing has a picture of Paul Newman on it and I was curious if I could buy it somewhere bc it tastes good! I just looked it up on the net and it turns out he makes all types of salad dressing and he has a huge business selling it. The fascinating part of it is that he donates 100% of his profits to charity! Woa!! He has donated about 200million so far world-wide! Extremely surprising. Quite a change from his hustling days back during the Color of Money. I hope they sell it at Ralphs.

TOO MUCH.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO EAT A LARGE JACK-IN-THE-BOX OREO ICECREAM SHAKE ON YOUR OWN!
I downed one on the PCH near Pepperdine, I threw up like 4 hours later. Too much volume. Should have gone with the medium.

Venice Beach.
Venice Beach is a real zoo. That place has a lot of freaks! I love it. Always something interesting going on there. Today, I saw 6 Mexican gangsta-looking kids paint over a graffiti filled wall with blue paint. I thought to myself they must be doing community service. What a good thing! Then I see them pull out cans of spray paint and start tagging on the wall. wtf! I saw a huge black guy run about 50meters and front flip over a dozen kids. I saw a skater kid try to flip-kick and land from higher elevation but missed the landing and almost break his ankle! I bought 2 hackey sacks for $5. I was walking around tossing one of the hackey sacks in my hands and ended up playing hackey sack with a drunk one-armed homeless man named Joey for about 30 minutes! I saw a woman cuss out 2 guys and just walk off in rage. I asked a guy holding a sign that read "99cent Pizza" if he knew what time it was. His response to me was, "I don't keep track of time or space." All this in a span of 2-3 hours! I need to go back to Venice beach again tomorrow.

my new hacky-sacks, don't they rock?A tip: When parking near the beach you can save money by parking just a few blocks away. Undiscovered gems of non-metered parking always around. It might be a little farther, but everyone needs daily exercise right?

St.Vibiana's Cathedral
I'm not Catholic, so I don't know why this bothered me. But tonight while cruising around Little Tokyo, I passed by St. Vibiana's Cathedral and discovered it being used as a night club! They had valet parkers dressed in white suits at the entrance and the walls were lit up purple. lol I could hear rave/trance music pounding away inside! I remember visiting this holy, sacred place of worship on class trips. We had to be very respectful and quiet when entering the building. How things have changed!!! Maybe the Church is low on cash and needs some income, they didn't sell the building off did they?

Oh, and the Little Tokyo Library is right next door to St.Vibiana's Cathedral now. I remember that thing being next to Yaohan (now called Mitsuwa).
